The cable service covers UTP signal cable installation within designated areas, based on the level of responsibility for each party. Work will commence only upon request, and must be supervised by the responsible technician, who will inspect the site, report findings to the requester, and coordinate installation, expansion, or improvements as per administrative instructions. If the signal cable already exists or installation requires immediate procurement, the responsible unit must prepare a formal request for procurement along with specifications of the necessary equipment. These documents will be reviewed and approved through the proper purchasing process. After approval, the work will proceed following institutional procurement regulations. (Excluding general supervision tasks.) The requester is also responsible for aligning with the design and specification of signal cable systems according to evolving technology standards (IEEE Standards).
