Who is eligible to apply for Google AI Pro (Gemini)?
- Be 18 years or older, and be either (a) a currently enrolled student (you’ll need to enter your university email during student-status verification) or (b) a member of the institution’s staff.
- You must apply with a personal Gmail account (not a university email), but you need a university email to verify student status.
- You need an online payment method that works with Google Payments. You won’t be charged during the free period, but the plan will auto-renew unless you cancel.
Prepare before you apply
1.A working personal Gmail account
2. Your KMITL email (e.g., xxx@kmitl.ac.th
) for student verification
3. A payment method linked to Google Payments (a valid debit/credit card) — used to start the trial and for automatic renewal after the free period if Google One is not canceled.
Important notes
- Avoid using more than 2 TB of storage.
- Back up/move your data before canceling (see “How to cancel Gemini” below).
- The plan auto-renews at the standard Google One / AI Pro price immediately after 12 months if you don’t cancel beforehand. You can cancel in advance at any time after signing up; under normal terms, your benefits remain until the free period ends.
- You must cancel from the @gmail account used to subscribe.
- Please cancel before the expiry date to avoid charges.

Subscriptions via Google Play
- You can cancel anytime in Google Play › Subscriptions.
- No charges if you cancel before the renewal date.
- You may see a temporary authorization hold on your payment method.
- The provider will send a reminder 7 days before the trial ends.

Until 9 December 2025.
How to apply
1. Open the student promotion link. https://one.google.com/ai-student Open the student promotion link: https://one.google.com/ai-student (the student promotion page to claim 12 months of Google AI Pro) and confirm your eligibility.
2. Sign in with your personal Gmail account (do not use your @kmitl account directly).
3. Verify your student status by entering your details and carefully checking they are correct.
- Country: Thailand
- Institution: King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL)
- Full name
- Date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY, CE)
- KMITL email (e.g., xxx@kmitl.ac.th )
Then click “Sign in with my institution.
And enter KMITL email.
If you’ve enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you’ll see this page — please verify first before proceeding.
Then accept the SheerID verification.
The system will display “You’ve been verified.” Click “Subscribe to Google AI Pro.”
Then click “Get the student offer.”
4. Add a payment method to your Google account as requested by the system , choose only one method.
After selecting your payment method, click Subscribe.
Then wait for the system to verify your payment method.
After successfully adding a payment method, the system will display “Subscription activated.”
How to cancel your Gemini subscription
- Go to Google Account management from your profile menu.
- Click “Payments & subscriptions.”
Go to Subscriptions, then click Manage subscriptions.
4. Then click Google One.
5. Cancel the subscription.
