Protect your online accounts !

    Did you know? Your KMITL email can be impersonated to gain access to systems you are authorized to use, or your personal information could be exploited to open financial services. To prevent such damages, you can protect your account from being compromised as follows:

  1. Use strong and unique passwords and create a password that is difficult to guess and never reuse it across multiple accounts.
  2. Be cautious of phishing emails or messages. 
     - Always verify the sender and domain before opening an email, e.g., ensure it comes from @kmitl.ac.th or other trusted sources.
     - Do not click on links or download attachments from unknown senders.
  3.  Enable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) for add another layer of protection with a second verification step, such as an OTP code sent to your phone. Even if your password is compromised, attackers will not be able to log in without the OTP.
  4. Avoid untrusted websites and pirated software.
    - Do not visit websites without encryption (HTTP) or those that lack credibility.
    - Avoid downloading or installing pirated software or unverified plugins, as they may contain malware.
    - Regularly update your operating system and software to patch security vulnerabilities.

     In summary ,Protecting your account is not complicated but requires awareness and responsibility. By using strong passwords, being cautious of phishing attempts, enabling two-factor authentication, and avoiding unsafe websites or software, you can significantly reduce the risk of account compromise.
