เมื่อผู้ใช้งานดาวน์โหลดไฟล์ จากเว็บไซต์ อีเมล์ หรือ รับไฟล์จากบุคคลอื่น (เครื่องอื่น) แล้วต้องการเปิดไฟล์เพื่อใช้งาน บางไฟล์จะพบว่าไม่สามารถเปิดไฟล์ได้ และมี error แจ้งเตือนว่า “This is not enough memory or disk space to update the display” และเมื่อคลิกขวาที่ไฟล์ เลือกเมนู properties ใน General Tab จะพบข้อความ “This file originates from another computer and might be blocked to help safeguard this computer.” หากพบข้อความเช่นนี้ error นี้ไม่ใช่ข้อผิดพลาดที่ผิดปกติ แต่เป็นคุณสมบัติด้านความปลอดภัยที่อยู่ในระบบปฏิบัติการของ Windows โดยบริการ Attachment Manager ที่อยู่ใน Windows จะทำการ บล็อกไฟล์ที่มีความเสี่ยงว่าจะเป็นอันตรายต่อคอมพิวเตอร์ของคุณ ทั้ง ๆ ที่คุณทราบว่าไฟล์ดังกล่าวน่าจะปลอดภัยก็ตาม ปัญหานี้สามารถแก้ไขได้ ดังนี้
คลิกขวาที่ไฟล์ที่ไม่สามารถเปิดใช้งานได้ จากนั้นไปที่ properties --> คลิก General Tab --> เลื่อนลงมาด้านล่าง จนพบข้อความในหัวข้อ Security : “This file originates from another computer and might be blocked to help safeguard this computer.” ให้ผู้ใช้งาน Unselect ในตัวเลือก Unblock ตามภาพด้านล่างนี้
แต่หากวิธีข้างต้นยังไม่สามารถแก้ไขได้ ให้ปิดคุณสมบัติ Protected View ใน Microsoft Word ดังนี้
- เปิด Microsoft Word และคลิกที่เมนู file
- ไปที่ เมนู Options –> Trust Center –> Trust Center Settings –> Protected View
- จากนั้น uncheckbox ที่ Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet and Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments
